Who is this for?
This guide is for residents of SnowLion or 2333 Naropa Residence Halls who need to connect game consoles, smart TVs, e-readers, and other devices to the Naropa WiFi network.
Devices may include:
- Xbox
- Playstation
- Nintendo Switch
- Other Game Consoles
- Smart TVs
- Alexa
- Roku
- Kindle
- Other eReaders
If your normal WiFi credentials cannot be input into your device, you probably need to use this method.
Step 1: Request a Password
Before you can connect your device to the Naropa WiFi network, you need to request a NarConsole password from the IT Department. Follow these steps:
Copy and paste the following text into the "Submit New Ticket" box on the IT Help Desk page:
Hello IT,
I would like to request a NarConsole password.
- My name is:
- My residence hall is:
- My room number is:
- The device I am connecting is:
Thanks IT! You're the best!
Please fill in your name, residence hall, room number, and the device you are connecting.
Submit the ticket and wait for a response from IT. They will provide you with a password.
Step 2: Connect to NarConsole
Once you have a NarConsole password, follow these steps to connect your device to the Naropa WiFi network:
- On your device, connect to the network called NarConsole.
- Enter the password you received from IT.
Troubleshooting:
- If you experience any errors while trying to connect, try entering the password again.
- Ensure that your device is up to date with the latest software updates.
If you are still unable to connect, let IT know by replying to the ticket you made earlier.
