How to Connect to WiFi on a Windows 10 PC

 

Connecting to WiFi on your Windows 10 PC is essential for accessing the internet wirelessly. Follow these steps to establish a successful connection:

  1. Access WiFi Networks:
    • Locate the WiFi icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. The WiFi icon resembles a set of curved lines.
    • Click on this icon to view the list of available WiFi networks.

    • Identify and click on the "Naropa" network from the list of available networks.
    • Enter your Naropa username and password when prompted.
    • Exclude "@naropa.edu" from your username.
    • Example usernames: firstname.lastname or flastname.
    • Enter your Naropa password, used for email or my.naropa.edu login.
  2. Establish Connection:
    • Wait for about 30 seconds for the connection to establish.
  3. Successful Connection:
    • Congratulations! You are now connected to the Naropa network.
  4. Troubleshooting Connection Issues:
    • If you encounter connection problems, ensure that you have entered your username and password correctly. Verify that the caps lock is turned off.
    • If you see a "connected, no internet" status:
      • Disconnect and wait for about 10 seconds before reconnecting.
      • Right-click on the Naropa network and select 'Forget,' then re-enter your login credentials.
  5. Continued Issues:
    • If difficulties persist, consider submitting a help desk ticket or emailing helpdesk@naropa.edu. When seeking assistance, provide the following details:
      • Your username
      • Laptop model (Dell, Sony, HP, etc.)
      • Location during connection attempts (campus and building)
