Mac VPN Setup - Check Point

This tutorial is for Mac users who want to connect to Naropa's VPN with the Check Point software.


Please download the Mac Client here:

It will look like this:


Then you will click the pink download button on the following page:


After downloading, please visit your Downloads Folder in Finder.

Double click the Endpoint Security VPN DMG file. (See picture)



Double click the yellow icon:




Continue.



The installer may ask for your password.


Continue through all the steps.


You might encounter this screen.


Click Open Security Preferences.

If you miss this box, please click the Apple Button > System Preferences > Security & Privacy to open the following windows.

Please see the bottom part of this screen.

Check Point Software Technologies is asking for permission.

Click the Allow Button and confirm it works.


(If you cannot press allow, you need to UNLOCK your computer. Click the PADLOCK button, enter the Mac password, then you should be able to click the allow button.)



Now Check Point should be working and running.


If you need to launch it, please open Launch Pad or use the Spotlight feature to search for Endpoint Security VPN.

It looks like this:



If it's already running, please go into your tray at the top.


Click "VPN Options"



This window will appear.


Click New.



When the instructions ask for a server or address name enter:


Server Name:

naropavpn.naropa.edu


Click next.




For Authentication Method choose: Username and Password.


Click Next.



It should end the Setup Wizard.


You can CLOSE the settings window.



TO CONNECT THE VPN:


Hover over the Lock Icon in your tray.


Click Connect.



You will see the Site say Naropa. 


Enter your Naropa username only. And Password.


Click connect.




If this worked, you will see a success message and a green light!
