MFA: AKA Multi-Factor Authentication is an additional security measure that helps to protect your Naropa account. When logging in, you will need your email address (aka username), password, AND your cell phone to approve the sign-in request.
Here are the steps for setting up Microsoft Authenticator with your MyNaropa account:
On your mobile device, download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app.
You can find it on the Google Play Store for Android, the App Store for iPhone, or by using the appropriate QR code below.
Beware of fake applications and be sure to double-check that the developer is Microsoft Corporation.
Look for the app icon that resembles a blue padlock with a person’s outline as the ‘keyhole’

On your computer, open a web browser and go to my.naropa.edu.
Sign in to your MyNaropa account using your credentials.
If prompted, click "Next" when it says 'More information required.'
Click Next if you already have the Microsoft Authenticator downloaded.
Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.
Tap the "+" icon located in the upper-right corner of the app's screen.
Select "Add Account," then choose "Work or school account," followed by "Scan QR Code."
DO NOT CLICK 'SIGN IN' OR YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTART THE PROCESS
Once you have selected ‘Scan QR Code’ it will open your camera. On your computer, click "Next" to display the QR code on the screen.
Use your mobile device's camera to scan the QR code by aligning the box within the app with the QR code displayed on the MyNaropa website.
Once the app successfully scans the QR code, your MyNaropa account will be added to the Microsoft Authenticator app.
On your computer, click "Next" to proceed.
In the Microsoft Authenticator app, you will receive a login notification for your MyNaropa account.
On the next screen, you will be asked to enter a set of numbers into the Authenticator. These numbers are displayed on the website. Enter the numbers as shown and select "Approve" to verify the login.
PLEASE NOTE
At the end of setup the Authenticator will ask you for an App Password, please ignore this part, you will not need it. (Fill in the password with random numbers/letters)

Congratulations! You have now successfully set up Microsoft Authenticator for your MyNaropa account.
The next time you log in to your MyNaropa account, you will be prompted to use Microsoft Authenticator as your second authentication factor.
