Setting up Softphone to Work Remotely

**Please note the following will allow the use of Softphone on your Naropa laptop. You also CANNOT be logged into the VPN. If you are or do connect your Softphone feature will stop working till you disconnect.**

1. Open Mitel Connect and at the main screen click on "Connect" then "Settings"

2. On the "Account" tab uncheck the option to automatically launch Mitel

3. Logout From Mitel Connect

4.Open Mitel Connect again and input the following settings:

Username: naropa\jdoe

Password: current email password



5. Once Logged in click on your Name shown on top left and select "Softphone". On the drop down box you can select your headset in order to make it the default device for audio and mic.
